Salary Range: $43,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Set up and operate various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders.
• Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, cracks, and incomplete fusion.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and deburring.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures in the welding area.
• Record production data and report any issues or deviations to supervisors.
• Select appropriate welding materials and filler metals for specific applications.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
• Proficiency in using welding equipment and tools, including grinders, torches, and measuring instruments.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on welds.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, TIG/MIG automation)
• - Certification in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (e.g., visual inspection, dye penetrant)
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings
• - Experience with welding procedure specifications (WPS) development and qualification
