Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in STEM field required
• Advanced Degree in Engineering preferred

Experience Level

• Senior Level – 5+ years required
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience preferred based on degree level

Required Qualifications

• STEM University Degree with minimum 15 years of relevant experience
  OR
• STEM Advanced Degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong project ownership and execution mindset
• Proactive and self-driven attitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively
• Experience leading meetings and following up on deliverables

Technical Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with composite manufacturing processes
• Extensive experience with fiber-reinforced polymer composites:
• • Fiberglass
  • Aramid
  • Carbon prepreg
  • Wet layup processes
  • Epoxy resin systems
• Strong background in:
• • Composite and bonded structures
  • Organic/polymer matrix composites
  • Fiber reinforcement
  • Manufacturing methods
  • Adhesives and surface preparation
• Knowledge of composite applications for:
• • Gas turbines
  • Aerospace
  • Defense
  • Automotive industries
• Experience with mechanical design including:
• • Machining
  • Joints
  • Fasteners
  • Welding
• Experience designing tooling for repairs and production support:
• • Locating fixtures
  • Grinding depth aids
• Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods:
• • Ultrasonic testing
  • Eddy current
  • FPI
  • Camera optics
  • X-ray
• GD&T experience including tolerance determination
• Experience reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming materials

Travel Requirements

• Must be able to travel up to 50%
• Travel may vary quarter to quarter
• Domestic and international travel required
• Must possess a US Passport or ability to obtain one

Work Authorization

• US Citizen required

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate damage to ground test equipment and develop repair solutions
• Scope and inspect damage conditions with customers
• Develop project schedules and repair cost estimates
• Create repair processes and work instructions
• Support onsite repair execution at customer locations and company facilities
• Develop standard repair procedures
• Support production teams during repairs
• Present technical information to internal and external customers
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and methodologies
• Support program management activities:
• • Work packages
  • Milestones
  • Objectives
• Drive process improvement and Cost of Poor-Quality initiatives

Industry Background Preferred

• Aerospace
• Defense
• Automotive
• Gas turbine applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Engineering Degree
• Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience preferred
