Department Assistant (Part-Time)- Autism Center for Child Development
The ACCD Department Assistant assists the BCBA-D and BCBAs in coordinating after school services at the Autism Center for Child Development (ACCD) to ensure good communication within and across agencies and facilitate the provision of excellent services for children with autism spectrum disorders.
HOURS OF WORK: Monday- Thursday, 11:30-6:30p
Pay: Up to $20/hr based on experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required. Associates Degree in a related area preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Ability to type 60 words per minute required.
- Evidence of being able to communicate expressively and receptively.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Field calls from parents/professionals.
- Respond to and field requests from supports coordinators/handle paperwork that needs to go to them.
- Send requested information for disability determinations.
- Schedule testing appointments and tours.
- Keep track of service hours.
- Manage admission timelines.
- Maintain files.
- Schedule tutors and clients (weekly therapy schedule, accommodating staff vacation days, trainings, and supervision meetings).
- Track client attendance.
- Serve as primary contact for parents for sick calls, cancellations, changes to client schedules.
- Document attendance (no call/no show and late arrivals).
- Notify supervisor of changes to attendance and alter daily schedule accordingly.
- Notify BCBA of upcoming Quarterly Reviews and Schedule QR meetings with parent, Clinical Case Coordinator, and BCBA.
- Prepare quarterly reports for BCBA Clinician commentary and review (import/format goals and graphs).
- Submit reauthorization requests.
- Orient new staff by setting them up with needed accounts, reviewing orientation checklist, and setting them up with initial computer trainings.
- Communicate with the training department (Executive Assistant) and provide necessary information to them for tracking staff trainings.
- Track trial count data.
- Complete other administrative tasks as needed.
- Responsible for timely Quality Assurance compliance as related to employee’s roles and functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
