IT Support / AV Systems Technician (Secret Clearance Required)

Location: Grayling, MI
Rate: $35–$37/hr on W-2
Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED (no exceptions)
No C2C or Third-Party Candidates

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on IT Support / AV Systems Technician to support mission-critical operations involving system maintenance, audiovisual (AV) equipment, and secure video conferencing environments.

This role will be responsible for system patching, hardware/software support, AV setup, and secure communications , ensuring seamless execution of both classified and unclassified conferencing across global locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system patching, updates, and OS image refreshes
• Install, configure, and support peripherals and AV equipment (projectors, printers, cameras, audio systems, recording devices)
• Configure and maintain video conferencing systems and bridge infrastructure
• Schedule and coordinate audio/video conferences across multiple global locations
• Prepare conference rooms and ensure all equipment is tested and operational prior to events
• Monitor classified communications to ensure integrity and compliance
• Verify security clearance levels for participants in classified sessions
• Manage equipment inventory , documentation, and hand receipts
• Coordinate loaner equipment distribution and return
• Provide end-user support and technical troubleshooting
• Maintain reporting data to support program metrics and compliance requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of SharePoint , documentation practices, and inventory tracking
• Ability to prioritize requests and manage scheduling based on urgency and resource availability

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant IT support and/or AV experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active Secret Clearance (REQUIRED)
• Ability to work independently and make operational decisions in real-time environments
