Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and validate CMM inspection programs based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Interpret complex GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements for accurate measurement.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
• Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs and measurement processes.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve quality non-conformances.
• Maintain CMM equipment, including calibration verification and basic maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD models.
• Solid knowledge of metrology fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Experience with CAD software for model manipulation and feature extraction.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with programming and operating other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and data analysis.
• Advanced CAD modeling skills (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) for fixture design or model manipulation.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience in process improvement.
