The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and manage a robust supplier base for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize material specifications and inventory levels.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost reductions, optimize inventory, and improve supplier performance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance.
• Proven experience in global sourcing and navigating international trade regulations.
• APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certification.
• Fluency in a second language relevant to international supply chains (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, German).
