Job Details:

• Work in the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
• Care for patients undergoing procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers
• Manage approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) discharged from the unit
• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies
• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions
• Work every other weekend
• On-call responsibilities possible
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• 1+ year of nursing experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac care required
• Travel experience required
• EKG comfortability required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
