Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Detroit, MI, is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the academic year under a contract position. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services that promote student success and well-being across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify learning needs and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
• Provide counseling and support services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert recommendations
• Analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and legal requirements

Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with K-12 populations in educational settings
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams
