Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A critical role is available for a pharmacist in an inpatient hospital setting, offering a 13-week contract with the potential for direct hire. This position provides a structured schedule of seven days on followed by seven days off, working overnight shifts from Wednesday to Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The pharmacist will operate in a dynamic hospital environment, utilizing Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation. You will be supported by two pharmacy technicians but will serve as the sole pharmacist on duty between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, requiring strong independent judgment and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify physician medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Initiate and follow up on dosing for pharmacy dosing service medications.
- Oversee and check the work performed by pharmacy technicians.
- Perform essential hospital pharmacy duties, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan pharmacy license is required.
- Proven experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
- Proficiency and experience with sterile compounding processes.
- Familiarity with Cerner order entry system is preferred.
- Experience with Omnicell automation technology is a plus.
Schedule and Location:
- Shift: Wednesday through Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Work cycle: 7 days on, 7 days off.
- Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan.
