Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately determine project scope and requirements.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates and proposals for new and existing products.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities or alternative manufacturing methods.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost models.
• Review and evaluate supplier quotations for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, labor costs, and overheads.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills for accurate cost analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems relevant to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, welding, injection molding).
• Understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Ability to navigate and interpret CAD files for material take-offs and process visualization.
