Salary Range: $52,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, generating invoices and monitoring collections.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll and associated tax filings.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close procedures.
• Track and reconcile inventory-related costs and manufacturing expenses.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation
• Familiarity with inventory costing, job costing, and financial reporting specific to manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g., inventory valuation, WIP, COGS)
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with inventory management software integrations
