Full time Day Shift CNA 

12 hour shifts 

6am -630pm

Currently St. Francis Home, a Catholic Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, has part and full time positions available. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Certified by the State of Michigan as CNA or completed course with testing scheduled within 120 days of employment required. Preferred experience with geriatric population. Must be able to work with limited supervision, handle hectic and stressful situations and effectively deal with residents and their families in a tactful and supportive manner.

The CNA will provide personal care and comfort as needed for residents, assist with meal times, document interventions and care, transport residents within facility. Implement bowel and bladder programs. Assist with restorative and rehabilitation procedures, participate in care plans, and other nursing duties as assigned.

Familiarity with state and accrediting agency requirements for long term care preferred.

Must be able to communicate well with co-workers, residents and families. Have patience and understanding especially for the dementia residents. Maintain a professional appearance with good attendance and punctuality. Must be able to set priorities and manage time well. You do not need to be Catholic but must be willing to support the residents with their spiritual needs and Christian beliefs.

Fulltime positions are fully benefited after 60 days including medical, dental, vision, life, and pension. Vacation packages start a 6 months, and increase after 1 year.
