Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Set up CNC machines, including tooling, workholding, and program offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using various measuring instruments.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or program issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including basic machine maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
• Strong understanding and practical application of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Experience with tool selection, offset adjustments, and minor program edits.
• Knowledge of various metal properties and machining processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM)
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with multi-axis (4/5-axis) machining
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
