Salary Range: $50,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments accurately.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
• Process payroll, including calculation of wages, deductions, and tax liabilities.
• Track and reconcile inventory costs for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including depreciation schedules for manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, preparing necessary journal entries.
• Generate basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation, COGS, and WIP.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions accurately.
• Experience with month-end close processes and preparing basic financial reports.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting on production metrics.
• Familiarity with inventory management processes and reconciliation.
