Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running, fitting, laying out, hanging, fabricating, installing, and gluing process and mechanical piping systems. The role involves utilizing blueprints to ensure the correct sizing and installation of pipes. We are open to experienced professionals who can hit the ground running or individuals with a plumbing, HVAC, or light fitting experience who are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Run, fit, lay out, hang, and fabricate piping systems.
• Install and glue process and mechanical piping systems.
• Utilize blueprints to cut and measure correct sizes of pipe before installation.
• Work with various materials, including PVC, cast iron, and ductwork.
• Perform brazing and welding tasks as required.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience as an industrial pipefitter with overhead pipe experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in threading, installing, and fitting pipes.
• Experience with welding and brazing techniques.
• High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman card is a plus.
• Experience in plumbing or HVAC is advantageous.
• Experience with process water systems is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of industrial facilities. This role requires travel 60% of the time out of state. Candidates must provide their own hand tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chesterfield, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $83200.00/yr.
