Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation and conflict resolution.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and minimize disruptions.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as material shortages or price fluctuations.
• Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define material specifications and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; CPSM certification preferred.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration for manufacturing components and services.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for managing teams and supplier relationships.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with international sourcing, import/export regulations, and global logistics.
• Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Advanced experience with ERP system implementation or optimization in a manufacturing environment.
