Lead Engineer / Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant and production equipment.

Principal Accountabilities

• Serve as a member of the Management Committee
• Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and maintain the integrity of facility structures
• Source and procure parts for the repair, modification, or optimization of new and existing equipment
• Develop Capital Expenditure (CapEx) plans for new equipment to enhance operational efficiency
• Provide input on equipment requirements and capabilities for new business initiatives
• Design and implement a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program
• Supervise Korex mechanics, electricians, and external contractors performing installation or repair work
• Prepare and submit documentation to regulatory agencies (e.g., MOE, MOL) as required
• Troubleshoot equipment performance and reliability issues, implementing effective solutions to improve operations

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering designation
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
• Working knowledge of PLC logic
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent investigative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees, customers, and suppliers
• Demonstrated analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Proven supervisory and leadership experience
