Custodian - Full Time Position

2nd Shift 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Building and Grounds Supervisor the Custodian will maintain the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness and safety, so that full educational use of them may be made always.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Satisfactory school or previous employment records
• High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Characteristics:

• Minimum of two years experience in related field
• Evidence of ability to learn procedures and operations
• Evidence of satisfactory work habits
• Satisfactory attendance record
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Prior work or volunteer experience with children
• Demonstrated successful communication skills with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community members

Duties:

• Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
• Performs routine tasks of daily cleaning
• Maintain appearance of building, inside and out, and provide routine repairs as needed
• Maintain building security
• Other duties as assigned
