Management advisor
At Duggan Wealth Management, a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Firm, we believe financial planning is about more than just numbers—it’s about helping people live their mission. We are seeking a motivated financial advisor with 3-5 years of experience who is ready to apply their expertise, engage with clients, learn from an established team, and build a meaningful career in wealth management.
This is not a start-from-scratch role. You will work alongside a collaborative team, apply your knowledge with existing clients, and have the resources to grow your own client base. We offer a structured environment for growth, combining the stability of a salary with the opportunity to increase compensation through a client engagement and new business development incentive structure.
You will have access to industry-leading training, private client resources, and the deep financial planning expertise of Northwestern Mutual’s Wealth Planning Services to help you expand your knowledge, earn advanced designations, and build your future in wealth management.
Why Join Duggan Wealth Management?
- Be a Leader: Take ownership of your role, build relationships, and help clients achieve financial goals.
- Be Curious: We value continuous learning and support professional development, including CFP®, ChFC®, RICP®, and other advanced designations.
- Be Honorable: We prioritize integrity, trust, and the highest standards of client service.
- Be Impactful: Make a real difference in the lives of our clients and community.
What You’ll Do as a Team-Based Financial Advisor
- Develop Financial Plans: Work closely with senior advisors to develop financial plans, engage with existing clients, and learn our firm’s unique approach to planning.
- Collaborate: Work with our private client and financial planning team to deliver high-quality financial advice and strategic solutions.
- Advise Clients: Provide comprehensive financial planning, including retirement strategies, investments, tax-efficient wealth strategies, estate planning considerations, and risk management.
- Enhance Client Relationships: Apply your expertise and previous experience to deepen client loyalty and advocacy.
- Leverage Resources: Utilize Northwestern Mutual’s Wealth Planning Services, private client solutions, and professional development opportunities.
- Build Your Client Base: Grow your own book of business, leveraging our established process, mentorship, and firm resources.
- Use Advanced Tools: Utilize industry-leading financial planning software, investment management platforms, and client engagement resources.
- Pursue Continuous Education: Engage in continuing education and professional development, including firm-sponsored coursework and top-tier industry training.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3-5 years in financial planning, wealth management, or investment advising.
- Licenses: Series 7 & 66 (or 63/65) preferred; Life & Health Insurance licensed or willingness to obtain.
- Certifications: CFP® certification is highly valued, or a strong commitment to obtaining advanced designations.
- Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Collaboration: Passion for working as part of a team while also developing your own client relationships
- Growth Minded: Commitment to professional development, leadership, and continuous learning.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary + Incentive-Based Compensation: Earn additional income through client engagement and business development.
- Ongoing Training & Development: Access to Northwestern Mutual’s industry-leading education programs.
- Work Environment: In-person, collaborative work environment in Troy, MI.
- Continuing Education: Firm-sponsored continuing education and designation support.
- Team-Based Growth Model: Work with established advisors, gain mentorship, and accelerate your career in wealth management.
If you’re ready for a role where you can make an impact, grow your expertise, and be part of a firm that values leadership, curiosity, integrity, and impact, we’d love to hear from you.
