Materials Specialist Details:
- Contract to Hire position
- $24.74 /hour
- Third Shift (Sunday through Thursday from 09:30pm to 05:30am)
- Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
- Carries out general requests and/or direction from production supervisors.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status.
- Directs warehouse staff to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
- Examines material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
- Compares work ticket specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignment.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records including material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
Materials Specialist Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of materials management experience
