Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is an integral member of a dynamic team operating in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing a complex and diverse accounts receivable portfolio, with each team member responsible for a specific set of customers and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bank accounts for payments.
• Perform daily cash application.
• Manage customer accounts, including contacting customers and site personnel regarding delinquencies and scheduled payments.
• Send invoices and monitor customer invoicing through the Accounting System and customer portals.
• Correspond with various customers and customer AP systems regarding monthly release numbers, payments, invoice issues, electronic packing slip submittal, and submission of electronic invoicing.
• Maintain daily cash logs.
• Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to cash receipts, accounts receivable, or other requests.
• Make bank entries, deposits, and reconcile records of bank transactions.
• Maintain records of intercompany transactions.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Expertise in accounts receivable, accounting, invoicing, and cash application.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage large volumes of data and information.
• Self-directed and capable of working independently under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of accounting and banking practices.
• Experience with Sage 100 (previously MAS 90) software is preferred.
• Proficient in various Accounting and ERP processing systems and Microsoft Office.
  
  

Work Environment

The role is based in an office located in Southfield, MI, requiring onsite work four days a week with the flexibility to work remotely from home on Fridays. The typical office environment includes a personal desk equipped with multiple computer monitors. This is a Contract position based out of Southfield, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.60 - $26.44/hr.
