Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Redford, MI, is seeking three onsite paraprofessionals to provide essential support for students with behavioral challenges. This contract position requires 35 hours per week, starting ASAP through June 11, 2026, offering an opportunity to contribute directly to student success within an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 and classroom instructional support to students with behavioral and special needs
- Assist with the implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Support academic engagement and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to maintain a safe and productive learning atmosphere
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least one full school year of experience working with students with behavioral challenges and special needs in a school setting
- CPI certification preferred
- Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Minimum of 60 college credits
- Associate degree or higher
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- Updated resume and two professional references from managers required
Location and Work Environment:
- Onsite positions within the district in Redford, MI
- Work directly with students and educators in supporting academic and behavioral goals
