Youngblood Automation, a division of H&P Technologies, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in Grand Rapids, MI.

Why Youngblood Automation?

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Customer Service, Purchasing, and Warehouse Personnel. The Operations Manager also will be required to interact with our sales managers to ensure that we are supporting our customers and sales representatives in the territory. The Operations Manager will also interact with senior management to identify and implement short and long-term plans for the team that align with company’s objectives and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations in the Customer Service, Purchasing and Warehouse Departments, with the goal of providing best-in-class service.
  • Coordinate technical, service, and procedure training for team members.
  • Monitor productivity and the utilization of resources in your area of responsibility.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, and the satisfaction of the outside sales team with respect to the performance of your team.
  • Oversee inventory management in Grand Rapids, including forecasting, ordering, monitoring of min-max stock levels, and stock returns.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead diverse personalities and talents to create a strong and well-functioning team.
  • Manage those who maintain customer specific pricing libraries and update the vendor pricing in our ERP system.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic performance appraisals intended to establish mutual goals, recognize employee accomplishments, and foster professional growth and development.
  • Foster a positive working environment by providing hands-on leadership.
  • Hire, train, develop and mentor new members of the team when needed.

Background & Experience 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with fluid power, motion control and/or automation products a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations and/or customer service management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer driven with a positive, professional, customer first attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy.
