Staffing Inc is partnered with a client in Grand Rapids who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for Industrial Sewer position who are ready to start as soon as possible! The ideal candidate will be able to complete a drug screen and background check, and more. Our client is looking for a dependable individual who has an eye for quality, is willing to learn, and has a proven track record of productivity.

Industrial Sewer Responsibilities

• Sew pre-cut fabric, vinyl, or non-woven materials as the pattern defines.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines, including changing setups.
• Observe and be aware of quality standards and ensure that the product is produced within specifications.
• Layout and mark patterns on material. Use scissors or electric knives to cut materials.
• To read, count, and write accurately to complete all documentation.
• Communicate product, material, or process issues to Engineering.
• Promote and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Industrial Sewer Requirements

• Previous industrial sewing experience, preferably within upholstery manufacturing.
• Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time.
• Able to follow written instructions and understand processes. Read and interpret production orders.
• Willingness to work on a team or individually.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must follow company safety guidelines.
