Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Canton, MI, focused on supporting middle school students. This contract role involves managing a caseload of students, providing specialized speech and language services to enhance communication skills and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in middle school students.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student performance and adjust interventions as needed.
- Provide consultation and training to staff regarding speech and language strategies and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students.
- Strong understanding of educational regulations and IEP development.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, handling approximately 26-27 students.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
