CDL Driver/Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible to assembling orders and making deliveries to clients throughout the Designated areas. This role requires high detail accuracy, independent motivation, and continual team collaboration. Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate must be efficient and accurate while moving inventory and completing documentation, while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate reports directly to Transportation and Logistics Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Transporting orders to clients throughout the Designated cities.
  • Receiving and unloading incoming goods, occasional staking of arrival goods by hand
  • Utilize a stand-up forklift to load inbound/outbound products as requested on packing slips
  • Accurate completion of paperwork pertaining to the inbound/outbound of goods
  • Operating shrink-wrapping machine to ensure quality of shipments received by the customer
  • Manually picking required products and assembling them into boxes and/or pallets for orders
  • Occasionally moving misc. (furniture, equipment) from one facility to another
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to company safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Must have strong data entry skills, be able to interpret work order information
  • Ability to follow product setup & packaging instructions
  • Capability to perform as a functional team member in successfully meeting organizational objectives and expectations
  • Compliance with all personal protective equipment requirements
  • Competency while following company SOP’s, company policies and procedures
  • Effectively collaborates with all team members
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak in English
  • Self-motivated to accomplish various tasks with or without direction
  • 1+ years previous experience operating a stand-up forklift
  • 3+ years of verifiable, safe driving experience
  • Previous commercial driving experience or personal experience driving campers or moving trucks is preferred
  • Must possess valid driver’s license along with clean driving record (no more than 3 accidents and/or moving violations within a three-year period)
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical, baseline drug screening and a drive test.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Activities

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or walking for prolonged periods

Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another

Adjusting or moving objects up to 50-70 pounds in all directions

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

 

Environmental Conditions

Low temperatures.

High temperatures.

Noisy environments.
