Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Provide technical expertise and support for tooling issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of existing tooling to ensure peak performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and coatings for tooling applications.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design, fabrication, and usage.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including tooling specifications, drawings, and maintenance procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance within a production environment
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)
• Strong understanding of machining processes, injection molding, stamping, or other relevant manufacturing techniques
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
• Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for tooling design validation.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
