Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and adherence to contracts.
• Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
• Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality discrepancies, or delivery delays.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Professional certification (e.g., ISM CPSM, APICS CSCP)
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience in international sourcing and logistics
