Facilities Manager | Kalamazoo, MI
Salary Range: $86,000 - $132,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventive, predictive, and reactive strategies for manufacturing equipment and building infrastructure.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, controlling operational expenses and capital expenditure projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO) relevant to a manufacturing environment.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness for facility services.
- Plan and execute facility improvement projects, expansions, and space utilization initiatives to support production needs.
- Implement and manage energy efficiency programs and utility consumption tracking to reduce operational costs.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for the manufacturing site.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive facilities management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), preventative maintenance, and CMMS software.
- Strong understanding and application of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations for manufacturing facilities.
- Proven ability to manage capital projects, facility upgrades, and maintenance contracts, including budget and vendor oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing maintenance teams and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies to facilities operations.
- Certification in a recognized facilities management program (e.g., FMP, CFM).
- Demonstrated experience in energy conservation initiatives or sustainability program development.
- Proficiency with advanced CMMS/EAM system customization or implementation.
