Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mechanical designs for new and existing products.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of material (BOMs) using CAD software.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet production requirements.
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and testing to validate product performance and reliability.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal product functionality and durability.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and PDM systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience with material selection, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Hands-on experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, welding).
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Experience conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation techniques.
