Inventory Control Manager | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to meet production schedules and minimize holding costs.
- Develop, implement, and enforce robust inventory control policies and procedures across all manufacturing stages.
- Oversee and execute regular cycle counting programs and annual physical inventories to ensure high accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and implement root cause corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales departments to ensure accurate forecasting and material availability.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems (e.g., ERP modules) for efficient tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Monitor inventory turns, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and develop strategies for reduction and disposition.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and optimize inventory levels.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with experience managing inventory teams.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency with advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience with warehouse automation technologies or WMS/ERP system implementations.
