Spindle is actively seeking compassionate Instructional Aide substitutes to provide essential 1:1 support to students within structured school environments. These per diem, as-needed positions offer flexibility for professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact through academic, behavioral, and social assistance in classroom settings. Shifts are assigned based on school coverage needs, allowing you to choose assignments that best fit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally during classroom activities
• Provide individualized (1:1) or small group assistance under teacher and staff guidance
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs to promote student safety and comfort
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Clearance for TB test per district requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications are advantageous but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative team player mindset
