Job Title: Purchase Buyer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Purchase Buyer to join our team. As the Purchase Buyer, you will be responsible for adhering to and maintaining Purchase SOPs, managing routine executions, and ensuring cost control and escalation procedures. Your role will involve domestic and international sourcing for automation and logistics, developing a robust supplier base, and monitoring supplier account payables.

Responsibilities

• Develop alternate sourcing strategies and ensure substitutes for each commodity.

• Review indent, prioritize urgencies, and initiate procurement processes.

• Ensure on-time procurement at optimal cost and resolve procurement-related queries with Stores and Accounts.

• Manage procurement of Capex and monitor compliance records for timely actions.

• Utilize and liquidate excess inventory efficiently.

• Analyze and define reorder levels and suggest cost-effective inventory management alternatives.

• Ensure compliance with SOPs and resolve any raised queries.

• Review pending PO reports weekly and PO versus achievement reports monthly.

• Update goals and achievement folders for KRAs weekly.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, and SAP.

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues and implement effective corrective actions.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within demanding timelines.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proactive thinking and forecasting skills.

• Periodic travel to suppliers and client sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
