Technical Documentation Specialist

We are looking for an experienced professional who specializes in communicating, writing, publishing and maintaining high-quality technical and procedural documentatio that meets applicable standards. Work schedule: Must be flexible to support a 7 day/24-hour operation. Will primarily work 1 st shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, but needs to be able to flex to meet peak business needs and weekend training. This position will be located at the Belleville Location (1 Village Center Dr, Van Buren Township, 48111) A Government Security Clearance may be required for this position. This includes, but is not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Write, publish, and maintain high-quality technical and procedural documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for the intended audience. Examples include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, user guides and reference materials.
• Collaborate with business analysts, trainers, operations staff, and technology partners to obtain an in-depth understanding of the process and any documentation requirements.
• Plan writing processes and set timelines and deadlines to deliver the documentation timely and accurately.
• Present technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audience.
• Incorporate illustrations or graphics to increase users’ understanding of the process.
• Gather feedback from internal and external sources to create and update content.
• Support the operation sites during system and production implementation of new procedures and processes.
• Flexibility in supporting 24-hour operations.
