Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking Controls Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for automated manufacturing processes.
• Design and implement industrial control system architectures, including electrical schematics and network configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and controls issues on production lines to minimize downtime.
• Optimize existing control systems for improved efficiency, reliability, safety, and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Maintain and update comprehensive documentation, including electrical drawings, program backups, and user manuals.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel on control system operation and troubleshooting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, commission, and optimize complex control systems.
• Experience with industrial robotics and/or advanced motion control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and P&IDs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
• Proficiency in vision system setup and programming (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Knowledge of database management (SQL) and data analytics for manufacturing insights.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SCADA integration.
