Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs and components using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
• Perform design calculations, simulations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product integrity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design manufacturability and resolve issues.
• Manage design changes and document revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) for design and modeling.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) and material selection.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and GD&T principles.
• Proven ability to analyze design challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation software
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly processes
