Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate CMM inspection programs for complex parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using CMM.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Calibrate CMM equipment, maintain probe qualifications, and ensure measurement accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CMM program issues, measurement discrepancies, and equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve part quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D models.
• Proven experience in CMM operation, part fixturing, and program troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and probe qualification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation and fixture design
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis
• Familiarity with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers, portable arms)
• Ability to develop custom CMM routines or scripts for automation and efficiency
