Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various metrology equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement tools and instruments.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing tolerances.
• Document and maintain accurate calibration records, inspection reports, and measurement data.
• Investigate and resolve measurement discrepancies, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in the development and improvement of metrology processes, procedures, and inspection plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with various precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with metrology software and data analysis for quality control.
• Knowledge of calibration principles and quality system standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ISO 9001).
• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent vocational training/certification.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced 3D scanning technologies (e.g., laser trackers, white light scanners).
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards for calibration laboratories.
• Proficiency in CAD software for model-based inspection (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or strong experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
