Salary Range: $54,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of machinists on complex projects and equipment.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts.
• Troubleshoot intricate machining problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct rigorous quality inspections to ensure all manufactured parts meet strict engineering specifications and tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve manufacturability.
• Oversee machine maintenance schedules, perform minor repairs, and coordinate with external technicians for major service.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the machine shop environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating, programming, and setting up CNC mills and lathes.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a team of machinists in a manufacturing setting.
• Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong understanding of various machining processes, tooling, materials, and quality control principles.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues and optimize production processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CAD/CAM programming for multi-axis machining.
• Experience machining exotic materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, superalloys).
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
• Proficiency in CMM operation and programming for quality inspection.
