Nursing Supervisor (RN) – Skilled Nursing (Afternoon Shift 2:30 PM–11:00 PM)

Position Summary:

The Village in Dearborn, MI is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to oversee clinical operations during the afternoon shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) in our Skilled Nursing facility.

The Village is a vibrant senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing services all on one campus, providing a full continuum of care for our residents.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality resident care during the assigned shift, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site clinical supervision of Skilled Nursing operations during the 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift
• Oversee and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure safe and effective resident care
• Make real-time clinical decisions and support staff with escalations or changes in resident condition
• Ensure timely completion of admissions, discharges, transfers, and documentation during shift
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate communication with providers and families as needed
• Respond to resident and family concerns that arise during the shift
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies during assigned hours
• Support implementation of care plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members as needed
• Conduct shift rounds to monitor quality of care, safety, and staff performance
• Address staffing concerns or workflow issues during the shift and escalate as appropriate
• Support infection control and safety practices in real time
• Communicate effectively with the incoming and outgoing shift teams to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan, in good standing
• 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
• Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to make independent decisions during shift
• Working knowledge of long-term care regulations and safe nursing practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
