Position: Database Admin & Backup Web Developer

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: IT Department & Business Systems Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

A) Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

B) Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) like Oracle, SQL Server, FileMaker, etc.

C) Experience with ERP systems, API’s, and data interchange formats. (JSON, XML, .csv (MS Excel), EDI)

D) Familiarity with Mac OS, Linux, web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Apache), and e-commerce platforms.

E) Ability to debug, repair, and continue development with other developer’s code.

F) Experience with live e-commerce systems and interaction with them through APIs.

G) Experience with Bootstrap framework and/or BigCommerce is a plus.

H) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A) Provide backup support for website, e-commerce systems, and web-related interfaces, including the following:

1) Comprehend and maintain Eden websites, apply updates, and assist Marketing in conceptualizing and supporting web content. (Web stack feasibility assessments)

2) Assist Web Developer to maintain e-commerce interfaces and related systems, applications, and databases. (ShipperHQ, EasyPost, Payment Processors, and Authorize Custom built web applications for stock status, price updates, webhooks, etc.)

3) Support automated web maintenance systems, including backups and monitoring (of server load, cloudflare, analytics, backups/server roll-back)

4) Assist in maintenance and renewal of SSL certificates & other industry standard security protocols.

5) Provide support to Sales for online order placement, order management, and related inquiries.

6) Maintain relationships with web hosting and e-commerce service providers.

7) Comprehend and maintain interfaces to external service providers in partnership with Online Orders (Ie: Printnode, EasyPost, FedEx, USPS, Authorize.net, etc)

8) Generate and analyze weekly web order reports.

9) Assist with Cloudflare configuration and administration.

B) Document & troubleshoot system processes, integrations, and data flows.

C) Assist with ERP research, planning/testing, evaluation, and modernizations efforts.

1) Develop, optimize, and maintain MySQL queries to support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integrations and custom reporting.

2) Design, configuring and maintain application, ensuring that data is synchronize correctly between databases, and troubleshooting application-related issues.

D) Research and Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recent technologies for future consideration of other online grocery platforms/sales channels. Ie: Alibaba.com, Instacart, Walmart, Retailer Websites.
