Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and specialized services.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and present clear, justifiable proposals to management and clients.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and pricing models to improve estimation accuracy.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative materials or manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, labor, and overhead cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel for cost modeling and analysis.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or specialized estimating software.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for part analysis.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) or Supply Chain Management.
