What You'll Do

• Perform a variety of home repair and maintenance tasks: carpentry, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing/electrical, deck repair, etc.
• Assist with door and window installations
• Support roofing and siding projects as needed
• Assess repair needs and provide homeowners with clear explanations and recommendations
• Maintain open communication with customers throughout each project
• Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Work independently on smaller projects and collaboratively on larger installations

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of professional handyman or general contracting experience
• Broad skill set across multiple trades (carpentry, painting, basic plumbing/electrical, etc.)
• Problem-solving mindset—every home is different, and you need to adapt
• Strong customer service skills—you'll be the face of Local Big Brothers on many projects
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Own basic hand tools
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet all day

Preferred:

• Experience with door and window installation
• Roofing or siding background
• Familiarity with local building codes and permit requirements
• OSHA safety training or certifications
