Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using specified software.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspection of manufactured components.
• Analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports (e.g., FAIRs, PPAPs).
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs and measurement processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure quality standards and resolve non-conformances.
• Assist in the setup and validation of CMM fixtures and measurement routines.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Expert-level understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, 3D CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and CMM machine operation.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process quality control in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model-based programming and analysis.
• Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or optical comparators.
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of fixture design and fabrication for CMM setups.
