Clinical Services Client Associate Location Benton Harbor, MI :

Berrien County Health Department is currently hiring Clinical Services Client Associate to join our team in Benton Harbor or Niles Michigan!

The Clinical Services Client Associate is responsible for performing administrative support and front desk duties in a variety of clinical areas including but not limited to Family Planning, WIC, STD/HIV, and Immunizations. This position is patients' first point of contact with health department clinical services and provides excellent customer service and a welcoming environment.

Compensation:

• Annual Salary of $30,499 - $34,307
• 37.5 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedules client appointments in a variety of clinical areas using electronic medical records.
• Checks clients in for appointments, verifies insurance coverage, and checks clients out including requesting payment for services.
• Books client payments in electronic finance systems.
• Conducts intake interviews with clients regarding program eligibility and needs.
• Maintains Electronic Medical Records for clients utilizing clinical services.
• Provides excellent customer service at all times, treating all clients with dignity and respect.
• Refers clients to other appropriate community services and resources within and outside the health department as needed.
• Performs routine administrative duties including answering phones, greeting clients, sorting mail, etc.

Qualifications:

• Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Two years' experience working in a medical/clinical office.
• A minimum score of 65% in Computer Proficiency test for Microsoft Word 2010 is required.

OR

• Education: Associates or Certification from an accredited medical office assisting or similar program.
• Experience: None
• A minimum score of 65% in Computer Proficiency test for Microsoft Word 2010 is required.

Special Requirements

• In times of a public health emergency, may be required to report for specialized assigned duties inside or outside of Berrien County.
• Regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
• Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license and a vehicle is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,329.00 - $37,424.00 per year
