Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of metrology equipment and instrumentation.
• Conduct precise measurements and inspections of manufactured parts, components, and assemblies.
• Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Develop and implement measurement programs for CMMs and other automated inspection systems.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and provide technical support to production and engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new metrology equipment and measurement techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers).
• Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience performing calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with metrology software and data analysis tools; knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• ASME GDTP certification (Technologist or Senior).
• Experience with advanced 3D metrology systems (e.g., laser trackers, structured light scanners).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
