Job Summary

Ready to spice up your career and lead with purpose? Chartwells K12 is on the hunt for a high-energy, people-loving Director of Dining Services to take charge of school dining across Fulton School District located in Middleton, MI.

You’ll be the heartbeat of food service for approximately 500 students across two schools , building a positive culture from the ground up while supporting newly updated facilities and benefiting from a long-tenured contract . In this role, you’ll lead and inspire a team of 8 frontline associates , jumping in wherever needed—from training and team-building to HR and finances.

This role is boots-on-the-ground and client-facing , so you’ll need to be comfortable taking the lead and passionate about being visible, hands-on, and fully engaged. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a solid frontline associates
• Drive critical initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
• Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.
• Oversees the annual budget and control costs.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience preferred .**
• Three plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12.
• Knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
