Facilities Manager | Walker, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, including capital projects and operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for facility operations.
• Manage vendor contracts and relationships for facility services, repairs, and supplies.
• Lead facility-related projects such as expansions, renovations, and equipment installations.
• Optimize utility consumption and manage energy efficiency initiatives within the manufacturing plant.
• Implement and manage emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for the facility.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) managing facilities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, compressed air) and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Demonstrated project management skills for facility upgrades, renovations, and capital expenditure projects.
• In-depth understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental compliance pertinent to manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and experience in budget management and vendor negotiation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with sustainable building practices or energy management systems
• Proficiency with CAD software for facility layout and space planning
