Commercial Apprentice ( tooling technician )

We are currently seeking a Commercial Apprentice (Tooling Technician) to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Apprentice (Tooling Technician), you will be responsible for supporting the production and maintenance of injection molding tooling used in the manufacturing process. You will work closely with our experienced tooling technicians to learn and develop the necessary skills to become a successful tooling technician.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the maintenance and repair of injection molding tooling

- Learn and understand the different types of tooling and their functions

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving tooling issues

- Participate in tooling changeovers and setups

- Perform preventative maintenance on tooling

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Communicate effectively with team members and management

- Learn and adhere to company quality standards and procedures

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time

- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
