Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and obtain quality approval before production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Optimize machine parameters and processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Document setup procedures, parameters, and tooling specifications accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvements and new product introductions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in machine setup, changeover, and adjustment within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards, quality control procedures, and preventative maintenance practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with PLC programming or HMI interfaces.
• Experience with manual machining (lathe, mill) for fixture creation or modification.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling and fixture design.
